New Light Learning Center works closely with each student to improve and sustain his or her academic performance. We offer a variety of academic services for grades K-12. Our academic enrichment programs for elementary and middle school students provides the necessary foundations for effective study habits. Our advance instructions for high school students provides the preparation needed for college admissions and success.

Homework Tutoring

Every weekday from 1PM – 7PM, we offer an after-school homework-tutoring program for grades K-12. We cover all major subjects, which include Language Arts, Mathematics, History, Social Studies, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for elementary, middle school, and high school students. Carpool pick-ups can be arranged for those who live in the cities of Rosemead, San Gabriel, Temple City, and El Monte.

Improve Critical Thinking and Study Skills

Whether your student is struggling or adept in their academic performance, New Light Learning Center provides a rich learning environment that will cultivate essential learning skills. We focus on their academic weaknesses and provide specific strategies for those missing fundamental proficiencies. From there, we gradually build the learning skills that will improve their understanding of those missing areas. For advanced students, we challenge those skills and knowledge to further hone those abilities. We take great care in our students' success, so we provide the support and motivation to achieve their full potential.

College Entrance Preparations

The competitive nature of college admissions has become even more challenging for high school students. We provide resources and knowledge for high school students to become a ‘well-rounded’ applicant. Along with spectacular grades and tests scores, universities are looking for students with a wealth of experiences in volunteering, internships, and possibly, academic research. Our specialty is in Pre-Health Professions. If your student is interested in these fields, we have the counselors that will get them on the right direction. We understand the complications that come with college applications, and we are here to help you become that competitive applicant.

Music Lessons

We also offer private or group piano and guitar lessons. Every music student is eligible to play at our annual music recital.
